Russian Doll

Russian doll, started small,
Solid in your core.
Layers shroud, make a crowd,
Where there’s one there’s more.
Tell your secrets, Russian Doll,
Be calm, no need to falter.
Whisper to your smaller selves,
With every day we alter.
Russian doll, tell them all
What you’ve got inside.
Painted lady, shelters baby,
Middles twist and slide.
